The Give to Berkeley widget allows site visitors to make donations to Give to Berkeley fund sources. The Give to Berkeley platform is managed by University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR).
About the Give to Berkeley Widget
The Give to Berkeley widget allows Site Builders and Widget Editors to display a "Support Fund" box. This box will link to individual fund sources on the Give to Berkeley platform. The box will display "Support Fund" text on the bottom, and the text on the top will be chosen by the Site Builder/Widget Editor. See Figure 1, below.
When site visitors select the link on a widget, they will be brought directly to the fund on the Give to Berkeley platform. Each new Give to Berkeley widget can only link to one fund on the Give platform. If you have more than one fund, you may add multiple Give to Berkeley widgets.
How to Use the Give to Berkeley Widget
To add a Give to Berkeley widget to a page, select the "Customize this page" button at the bottom of the page, select the "plus" icon from one of the page regions, then select "Berkeley Components." In this section, there will be an option called "Give to Berkeley". Select the "Add" button to proceed. See Figure 2, below.
The following settings are available on the Give to Berkeley widget configuration screen:
- Title (optional)
- Fund name (the name of your fund)
- Fund ID (the 9-digit ID of your Give to Berkeley fund)
The "fund name" may be the name of your fund (e.g., "Research Fund"), or a call to action (e.g., "Make Your Gift Today"). The "fund ID" is the 9-digit ID of your Give to Berkeley fund. This ID will look like FB0000000. Make sure that you are only adding the fund ID (do not add the full fund URL). Select "Save" when you are finished. See Figure 3, below.
