Tips and How-Tos

Some helpful tips as well as general FAQs:

Featured Content

Highcharts Data Widget

The Highcharts widget allows you to embed accessible, interactive data visualizations created using Highcharts Cloud. Dozens of chart types and variations are available, including line, spline, area, column, bar, pie, and scatter charts.

How do I add expand/collapse content to my site?

Expand/collapse text allows site visitors to click on a line of text, which then expands to show additional corresponding text. This can enable site visitors to more easily skim the text on a page to find what they're looking for (especially if the page has a lot of content), and can also help Site Builders feature their content in a more dynamic list.

Top Results (keywords)

The Top Results feature allows users to assign a limited number of pages to be "top results" for specific search terms. You can use single words or phrases as top result "keywords." The top results appear separately, above the regular search results.

Clone Content

Some Open Berkeley sites have content that is similar in structure across many different pages. The Clone Content feature allows site builders and other privileged users to take an existing page, make a copy of it including all fields, widgets, and layouts, and then update the parts of the page that are different from the source page.
