View and manage keywords

Your existing keywords are listed in a tab in your admin menu, and your dashboard:

From this tab, you can add, view, edit, and delete keywords. Each keyword is listed, along with a count of the pages assigned to it. Clicking on existing keywords will allow you to modify them.

To prevent over-populating the top results, each keyword can have a maximum of 5 content items assigned to it. Content items can be any type.

Add a new keyword

Using your admin menu, select Dashboard -> Top Results -> Add Top Results keyword. Or go to your main dashboard page and select the Top Results tab, then click "Add Top Results keyword."

In the form, enter the keyword. You can use any spaces, capitalization, or punctuation. The exact keyword will be stored along with a processed version that is flattened down to its simplest form.

If a keyword that already exists flattens down to the same simple form as the one you are entering, the form will report an error. Enter a different keyword, or find the existing keyword on the listing page and change the pages assigned to it.

Click the "Next" button. On the next page, use the autocomplete field to find content items. Start typing the title of a content item, and select the appropriate result when it appears. To add more content items, separate items with a comma. Each keyword can have no more than 5 content items assigned to it. Duplicate items will be removed when you save the keyword.

Unpublished content items will show up in the autocomplete search results, but they will not be displayed in the Top Results widget until they are published.

Edit or delete existing keywords

Using your admin menu, select Dashboard -> Top Results. Or go to your main dashboard page and select the "Top Results" tab. In the list of keywords, click the name of the keyword to go to the edit page.

To edit the keyword (to change the name of the keyword, or update the content items assigned to it), click the "Edit keyword" link. You can edit the text of the keyword, or assign new items to the keyword, following the same steps as above for "Add a new keyword."

To delete the keyword, click "delete keyword," then click "Delete" on the next page to confirm. Deleting keywords does not have any effect on content that was assigned to that keyword.
