Add Video (YouTube, Vimeo)

The "Add Video' widget allows you to embed a YouTube or Vimeo video on your site. This widget supports YouTube video playlists and YouTube's "start at a specific time" feature. The "Add Video" widget will embed a video in one of the available layout regions, and site visitors will select the "play" button to play the video directly on your page.

Class Listings

The Class Listings widget allows Site Builders to embed a filtered list of classes from the Berkeley Academic Guide. The Academic Guide is is a robust tool to help the campus community explore Berkeley’s curricula and find classes, with various filters available.

Clone Content

Some Open Berkeley sites have content that is similar in structure across many different pages. The Clone Content feature allows site builders and other privileged users to take an existing page, make a copy of it including all fields, widgets, and layouts, and then update the parts of the page that are different from the source page.

Edit Summary on Content Items

On many content types on the Open Berkeley platform, there is an "Edit Summary" option. On Landing pages, the label for this field is "Summary".

Add Table (widget)

The "Add Table" widget is a widget that allows users to put a basic table in a widget area. The table will have a "header" row, and additional "data" rows.

Note about the Add Table widget

There are a few ways to add tables on the Open Berkeley platform, and the the "Add Table" widget is one of them. The "Add Table" widget does not allow any additional formatting (such as bold, italic, or links).

Thumbnail List

A Thumbnail List allows Site Builders to feature one or more "thumbnail"-sized photos with accompanying title text (which is linked to either internal or external content), with the option to add secondary text as well.

Use and Change Layouts

There are a variety of pre-configured available layouts with a variety of regions (hero, header, sidebar, etc.) on your Open Berkeley pages to help feature and organize your content.

How to See Layout Options and Change Layouts

To see your layout options and to change layouts, select "Change layout" at the bottom of the page.

People Listing Widgets

Overview

By default, all People content will show up at the path "/people" on your site, and will be displayed as a sortable table with Name, Job title, and Role. This is not the only way to feature People content on your site. You can customize the default /people page to change or use a different People widget, or feature People widgets on any page that can be customized.

Photo Thumbnails

Photo thumbnails allow Site Builders to add a widget containing a photo with a color band (all Berkeley Brand colors are available) added to the bottom of the photo. These Photo Thumbnails are meant to link to either internal or external content.
